<span style="font-size: large;">I waffled about this way back in the day, but I've decided to combine this blog with my other one, <a href="http://n8ltg.blogspot.com/">Tales from the Love Shaque</a>. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">TFTLS is my personal blog of life & randomness so this will actually fit in there nicely.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I don't feel as tho I am maintaining 3 blogs as well as I should be (<a href="http://maplegrovecemetery.blogspot.com/">Maple Grove Cemetery</a> is my 3rd and there's no question about that staying a separate entity!) and I really don't post here that often and there is a lot of repeating between here & TFTLS. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I haven't yet decided what I'm doing with this blog so as of October 1, it will be dormant. This gives me time to figure out redirect links and all that stuff. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">So wish me luck! </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTziSxOjxH_0LzZ1wGcc5JPpTmoRonYxyn2wluLmCm7uux_pnPa_DhwuTdImSKBgzZYid_YYED56Q2RDT1fYrlRCNcBB1yHHHSFjaKp2cly5PhL53R8Qj15mtIYMbBLbttBx4aYH1KB0nU/s1600/iPhone+008.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTziSxOjxH_0LzZ1wGcc5JPpTmoRonYxyn2wluLmCm7uux_pnPa_DhwuTdImSKBgzZYid_YYED56Q2RDT1fYrlRCNcBB1yHHHSFjaKp2cly5PhL53R8Qj15mtIYMbBLbttBx4aYH1KB0nU/s320/iPhone+008.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Gratuitous Chester picture, </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
meeting me at the back door with a dirty sock. </div>
<br />
I called about a week and a half ago because I felt a chip in my tooth / filling / crown / whatever. It was right along my gumline and my tongue kept hitting it. I called and they couldn't get me in until yesterday. Neat. But it didn't hurt so I dealt with it. Of course, that weekend the tooth broke in half. But it still didn't hurt. Come to find out, my tooth didn't hurt because it was one I'd had a root canal on a few years ago, so there was no nerve.<br />
<br />
I went in yesterday and for some reason, the smell and taste of everything seemed 100 times worse than usual! The dentist only gave me about 1/2 a shot of Novacaine to humor me, I probably didn't need it. But damn if he didn't pull the needle out and drip some of that crap into my mouth. Gross. Then he numbed my gums a little bit with some nasty rotten banana flavored stuff. He used a laser and the most horrible smell ever was coming out of my mouth!! I found out later he was using it to cut & cauterize my gums because there was decay below the gumline - so that was basically burning flesh I was smelling! When they took the impressions - they used too much of that foam stuff and it shifted underneath my tongue so between that and the drool I couldn't swallow - my gag reflex went into overdrive. They had to redo it with less foam. The assistant dripped water down my neck after one of the rinses. When they cemented the temporary crown onto the tooth, I could smell the cement before she even got it close to me and then I could imagine feeling the fumes wafting thru my mouth. And it tasted horrible since you can't help but taste it, too. <br />
<br />
So basically, it was one of the most awful appointments I've ever had and it wasn't even due to pain! Then later when I got home, I had the worst chills! Randy got home from work and I was sitting out on the patio in a hoodie and flannel pants - and it was around 90* and high humidity! But I finally felt comfortable. I would have been in bed before 9:30 if I hadn't had to wait for Angel to get home at 10 so we could move cars around. <br />
<br />
Thankfully, I feel better today. They said my mouth would be sore for a couple days from the laser and so far they're correct! They had taken a picture of the area before cementing in the temp crown and had it up on the screen in the room. I swear it a like a trainwreck. I couldn't stop looking at it! It was pretty disgusting. I thought about taking a picture of the screen so I could share the grossness with Randy but I didn't. You're welcome! Because you know I would have shared it here, too!<br />
<br />
So that was weird thing #1. Weird thing #2 is that about a week ago I started taking these vitamin packets from GNC that the guy in there recommended. They have a multivitamin, Triflex (their glucosamine sutff) and fish oil. And my heel spur has really calmed down! Before I would have to flex and stretch my feet before getting out of bed, or else I couldn't walk! And if I sat too long at work, I'd limp for a few steps before it worked out. I still have been doing the stretching before I get up, but it's more out of habit now. Then I get up and can walk fine with only minimal ouchies. I'm thinking it's the Triflex since I had been taking that for my knees (they grind) but stopped before my surgery and haven't taken any since. <br />
<br />
So anyhoo. Classes start back up at the studio next week, but I don't think I'm ready for Zumba yet! It's tough to get motivated with these shorter days!<br />
<br />

I went in Friday to get my "6" week checkup after the hysterectomy and got the blessing to resume life as normal! The gyn said there are still some stitches up in there, but they'll dissolve soon. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So apparently the ovaries do indeed still work. I was driving into work yesterday and couldn't get comfortable in the car. Once I got to work I realized that I was cramping in my lower back like the good ol' days. Then today my belly felt really heavy, along with being crampy. I kind of wished I still was carrying the belly binder around in my purse, but I had put it away at home. It felt weird to be feeling that way without having Aunt Flo visiting!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Other than that, I've been feeling pretty good. We went camping last weekend and it was nice to indulge in some adult beverages by the fire (and on the boat!). One thing I noticed that I thought was odd. At home, when I wake up in the morning, I have to flex my feet and rotate my ankles and stuff to ease my heel spur before I get out of bed. Saturday morning I woke up in the camper and walked just fine. My heel didn't bother me all weekend. I wonder why that was? I didn't do anything unusual. It rained half of Saturday so we just sat around under the awning and visited. We played games like washer-toss later. Monday morning at home wasn't too bad, but it hurt more than on Saturday or Sunday. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On the plus side, I got home from work this afternoon and relaxed for a while, then took the dog for a walk. I was looking thru a tote in the garage for some fall leaves and stuff to put out to tide me over to Halloween decorating time, but I couldn't resist puppy-dog eyes. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgY_uttTrvq-gXPVFGg4yzVtk0PfGA8O6_R4a6IkZAJ53saj9s9FMCLpCHUp3Ldix3FtUGUF1VeYOmV8bmF7QmefpnMOCdQiM-TCtJVcwRkI7va5h7Dij4WA6SS7k8lCNtQybdycscnFUjz/s1600/iPhone+004.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgY_uttTrvq-gXPVFGg4yzVtk0PfGA8O6_R4a6IkZAJ53saj9s9FMCLpCHUp3Ldix3FtUGUF1VeYOmV8bmF7QmefpnMOCdQiM-TCtJVcwRkI7va5h7Dij4WA6SS7k8lCNtQybdycscnFUjz/s320/iPhone+004.PNG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I somehow think Map My Walk's GPS is having issues. It used to be, you know, accurate. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm pretty sure this is actually closer to 2.25 miles, but it said 4.1 miles and we did it in 47 minutes! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So that's the scoop here. Nothing particularly exciting. I'm trying to get motivated to get more activity in, but it sucks having to get up in the morning when its still dark! I love fall, but I don't love the shorter days. I'll be out mowing the lawn tomorrow so I should get close to 10K steps again easily. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Later, peeps!</div>

This will be the physical exam to make sure I'm all healed inside and hopefully will get the blessing to resume normal life!<br />
<br />
I confess I mowed the lawn. I did half yesterday and the rest tonight. I blame the other 2 bums in my house for not doing it for for me. Yet again, I lost the waiting game and did something that they could have, but didn't. So if I have ill-effects from this - you know who will get the evil eye!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Love this face!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I'm actually feeling quite good. I really haven't had any significant belly pain or anything since like week 2 post op. Twinges here & there, but that's all. It's hard to remember that I have had significant internal organs removed! Of course I'm feeling some aches right now since I always do after mowing the lawn, but nothing that feels surgery-related. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Anyhoo, I got the guilt trip, "we miss you" card from Weight Watchers yesterday. I'm ready to go back, I think. I'm shooting for the September 6 meeting. That'll be 2 months since I went last. I don't feel guilty about missing 2 months. I had cancelled my credit card back in June (someone in Indiana tried to charge $200 worth of stuff at a Dollar Tree on it!!) and forgotten that my monthly pass was paid for on that. I got emails from WW about it while I was in Charleston with Miss Angela & her dance team, but they went into a special email folder that I didn't look at when I was on my phone. So yeah, my monthly pass got cancelled. I did get 2 meetings in after Charleston before we figured out what had happened, but by then I knew I was having surgery, so I let it be. They have some good deals going on, so I'll have to take advantage. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Sigh. What a time to go back, right when this has happened...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3Ih0SXAGFaANlo7Ba2lbO2SOrt2GmqPr4mu8C7U98QNyYJcGinqGcFzYAf4NsrzFHrp-BmLKRVWR4ef3ze6QLQwzSeNXFiGMXggcgsulZbJKl_1hrHSbMFA4VB6IyD-MqpJ-lts5uWH14/s1600/iPhone+019.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3Ih0SXAGFaANlo7Ba2lbO2SOrt2GmqPr4mu8C7U98QNyYJcGinqGcFzYAf4NsrzFHrp-BmLKRVWR4ef3ze6QLQwzSeNXFiGMXggcgsulZbJKl_1hrHSbMFA4VB6IyD-MqpJ-lts5uWH14/s320/iPhone+019.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Pumpkin Spice Ice Capp time! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
MmMmMmMmMmM</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm going to have to start planning my food better. I've been eating oatmeal for breakfast so long that I'm getting tired of it. I switch between strawberries and PB2 and occasionally maple syrup in it for flavor, but it's still getting old. But it's quick & easy to make the night before and take it to work with me to eat at my desk in the am. But yawn! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've been getting a few walks in, and dragging Randy along with me. I know he's just going to humor me, but it doesn't hurt him to go, either! I noticed my FitBit step count has gone up each week, so that's a good thing! My heel spur has been acting up, but I wonder if its because I haven't been taking my Triflex (glucosamine stuff from GNC) since the surgery. I haven't had any knee issues ~KNOCK ON WOOD~ but this has been annoying. I have to flex & point my feet before I get up in the morning or I seriously cannot put weight on my right foot at all! Guess I should restock up on that. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So it's getting late, I'll post again after my checkup!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Later!</div>

I had my 2 week follow-up appointment last Monday (and my weight while wearing jean capris was down 1.6 lbs from the day I had surgery after a 12 hour fast!!!)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I got the blessing to return to work Tuesday, but I kind of wished I'd talked the doctor into saying I should just have half days this week. I may just sit behind a desk, but it had been 2 weeks since I'd been sitting up for an extended amount of time and I could feel it. Luckily Angel was at home, since I didn't even make it until 11am before I texted her to bring my my belly binder. I made sure I had it with / on me the rest of the week. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then Thursday & Friday, my weird sleeping schedule caught up to me. Thursday was a real struggle and I made sure to get a nap in when I got home. Yesterday I didn't have that option, so 5 hour energy was my friend! Angel had dance team try-outs (pretty much a formality since I seriously doubt they'd tell her should couldn't be on the team after all these years) and she wanted me to be there. So I went straight to the studio from work, then did some minor shopping on the way home from there (ya know Halloween stuff is starting to appear in stores!!). </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Once I got home, I stretched out on the bed and just barely started to relax when Randy got home! I was surprised since he's not usually home so early. So we went out to dinner and did some store browsing, a typical date night for us! But I'd made the mistake of letting Miss Angela stay out until 1am and in typical Mom fashion, I stayed awake until she got home. I was beat.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjG3c3bmNdd6NyI0AI3oh_UEGX-E-mPSu9L2UAF6T14MT2D5o-eFSvcKnWJO6qn-p4mFkj0V5Jw3WggLufafC1iixywZ7SBSDdzv04dN7q3J12dOrE927ojy528JPWOBz1A6Oh69p-OvE7j/s1600/iPhone+020.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjG3c3bmNdd6NyI0AI3oh_UEGX-E-mPSu9L2UAF6T14MT2D5o-eFSvcKnWJO6qn-p4mFkj0V5Jw3WggLufafC1iixywZ7SBSDdzv04dN7q3J12dOrE927ojy528JPWOBz1A6Oh69p-OvE7j/s320/iPhone+020.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Saw this at the Salvation Army - wonder how old this is??</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It's funny that if you ask me how I felt in the morning, I'd say Great, Wonderful, Excellent! But later in the afternoon, my answer probably wouldn't be so positive. I had a nap early this afternoon for an hour or so, then Randy & I went to Target (which is the only store I can consistently count on to actually have my strawberry Crystal Lite in stock!!) and then when we got home, I did some painting on my headstones for Halloween and then talked Randy into going for a walk. All I had to do was wave some socks at the dog and he was ready to go! It's been way too long since we took him for a walk and he was excited! Map My Walk said we went 2.5 miles, but the track did a lot of back & forth so I doubt we went more than 2.25 miles, if that. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
One thing I've noticed since I had surgery is that I don't feel the need to continually stuff my face. In fact, I really have to stop and think if I am actually feeling hungry or not. I had a bowl of cereal at 10am today and didn't have anything else until like 4:30pm when Randy & I were out shopping and he said he was hungry. I would have been fine until he said something and I thought about it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2oOd3Ne5zAzz07yekteHjGkIqHoMGg8aZAyivEfdU7MgcpHbSc-OKBpNf-zHxBnL9gWgbwnh49Z9rHSt7cOB_s86ldrnXkggh0RKzYdCZd9TXvQwD8_KuIP9iVKdz-guMdd8rpMOl_0Dx/s1600/iPhone+012.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2oOd3Ne5zAzz07yekteHjGkIqHoMGg8aZAyivEfdU7MgcpHbSc-OKBpNf-zHxBnL9gWgbwnh49Z9rHSt7cOB_s86ldrnXkggh0RKzYdCZd9TXvQwD8_KuIP9iVKdz-guMdd8rpMOl_0Dx/s320/iPhone+012.JPG" width="180" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This ticked me off. I drained ground beef into the dogs bowl the other night and then promptly turned and dumped the taco seasoning into his bowl, too! The pan of beef is sitting on the stove, about 6 inches over to the left. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Much to his dismay - he did NOT get this bowl. He has horrible farts on a regular night so there's just no way. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Oh yeah - I'm not doing Weight Watchers for a while. They suspended my account while I was in Charleston last month because I had cancelled the credit card that was used to pay for my monthly pass (and I forgot about everything that used that card for auto-payments - oops!) But it actually worked out for the best, timing-wise, since now I don't feel guilty about not going to meetings until I'm actually ready to get back on the program. I'll see how I feel after I go in for my 6 week follow-up exam at the end of August. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
They're supposed to be starting Zumba back up at the studio at the same time the fall dance classes start back up at the beginning of September. I'll have to ease my way back into that! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Anyhooo. I still have my achy times, but there's been nothing horribly painful. I have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact I had <i>major</i> surgery. It sure feels like I've had a pretty easy recovery so far, but I guess since there were significant internal organs removed, that should classify it was <i>major</i>!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And here we go with staying up way too late again. I need to stop this crap! At least we have nothing big planned for tomorrow so I'll be good with sleeping late, and I'll try my best to avoid a nap so I'll get my carcass to bed at a reasonable time tomorrow night so I'll be ready to start the week over again! </div>

Hmm. I can honestly say I am NOT sad about the hysterectomy at all! I wasn't sad anyway, but actually reading what all they removed from my innerds is pretty eye-opening.<br />
<br />
Plus I've been reading a historical romance novel (OK, I've gone thru 5 so far) and I couldn't help but wonder what a woman back then would have done in my situation - she'd had to suck it up and deal with it. How awful - <i>shudder</i>!<br />
<br />
I've gotten quite a bit of painting done for my <a href="http://maplegrovecemetery.blogspot.com/">Halloween display</a>. THIS my friends is why you never ask "isn't it too early for Halloween"? The answer is NO. One must leave allowances for screwups like this! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhG83dU-5beqE1APP47zno-vrqWPKzsATMF2_sZYtH6B5pR2oxJGPvz2FWus-rtLusZ2zxz6-jPL0P8TIyF_MGYWTUiFI3lumpvzJyXnKQcmTPhrLx2s76p8DEYrxXpO5JV7OrXPXASz4YL/s1600/iPhone+013.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhG83dU-5beqE1APP47zno-vrqWPKzsATMF2_sZYtH6B5pR2oxJGPvz2FWus-rtLusZ2zxz6-jPL0P8TIyF_MGYWTUiFI3lumpvzJyXnKQcmTPhrLx2s76p8DEYrxXpO5JV7OrXPXASz4YL/s320/iPhone+013.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I reinforced the backs of these cheap foam headstones with plywood and was very happy with how they looked with their new paint. However, they didn't seem to be drying well and were still tacky, to the point where I couldn't stack them or even let them touch, since they'd stick together. I'd forgotten to coat them in DryLok (a sealant like thin, sandy cement) first! So I had to basically start over. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8PBIkJMo0Ou2rXOHhPGHb8_IeQjeiVQ6hKlM5UgpEknUqjA2MnjlVBPz-WepBNZ5hWqbGgYVZwXAjsh1RLQ8NLMyTXa0PiKe97Eze3N-XT2EqzCVlhvorHHTxGJQEiSTwkVYgKcWVFYeI/s1600/iPhone+035.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8PBIkJMo0Ou2rXOHhPGHb8_IeQjeiVQ6hKlM5UgpEknUqjA2MnjlVBPz-WepBNZ5hWqbGgYVZwXAjsh1RLQ8NLMyTXa0PiKe97Eze3N-XT2EqzCVlhvorHHTxGJQEiSTwkVYgKcWVFYeI/s320/iPhone+035.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I grabbed those other 5 out of the shed and did them, too. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've already started to repaint them, but didn't take pics of that. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Where I was going with this is....this is something I've been wanting to and have been able to do while sitting. Nothing strenuous since they're all really light. And the dog has been a great supervisor. Too bad we have heat advisories out today, I could have gotten more done!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWibKwV3ic3UBGYfNrabsEKNiOV6o1-dVEfJzeGrh6ifWPHvb94YcouJGkdbR7Yr-wdQqoOvPEaem9VzbfW9eus6kkGOcY3oAQJIk1XlhHjOWuZsbWekO5KMBavbaO3czyWR6qxKTTdtFZ/s1600/iPhone+022.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWibKwV3ic3UBGYfNrabsEKNiOV6o1-dVEfJzeGrh6ifWPHvb94YcouJGkdbR7Yr-wdQqoOvPEaem9VzbfW9eus6kkGOcY3oAQJIk1XlhHjOWuZsbWekO5KMBavbaO3czyWR6qxKTTdtFZ/s320/iPhone+022.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Wow, I went really way off the tracks there! Moving on. They removed my entire uterus, cervix & fallopian tubes. The cervix & tubes were apparently "unremarkable", so good. But the uterus and all her friends were the problem. <br />
<br />
<span style="color: #4c1130;">Adenomyosis (where the inner lining of the uterus grew into the outer wall); a 5 x 2.2 x 0.8 cm endometrial polyp (the gyn found this at my last exam); multiple "markedly trabeculated myometrium" measures up to 3 cm in greatest thickness (pretty sure this means thickened areas); approximately ten intramural nodules ranging from 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.4 cm to 2 x 1.8 x 1.2 cm (the fibroids) and last, but not least, a cyst measuring 1 x 1 x 1 cm.</span><br />
<br />
How much fun is that??<br />
<br />
Anyhoo. I have broken a few of the "rules". I'm not exactly sure this is one of them, but I've been driving. Saturday I drove out to my sister's house (45 minutes) to check on her cats while she was out of town, but I let Miss Angela drive us home. Then I drove another 20 minutes to one of her friend's grad party, but let her drive home because she had to get to work. Then I went to the store. Sunday I had to drive back to where the grad party was, since a certain little blonde doofus had gone back there after work Saturday night and locked her keys in the car. Sunday I wasn't feeling too well, so I think I may have overdone it. I took it easy the rest of the day. There have been a few quick jaunts here & there. I took Angel grocery shopping yesterday so she could deal with the big bags of dog & bird food for me. And it's been killing me to look out at the yard, since it's been a good month since we mowed the lawn. We haven't gotten much rain, so its just the weeds poking up making it look raggedy. But I will NOT do the lawn. I'm not that stoopid! <br />
<br />
I've cut way back on the pain meds. The ones they gave me for 'severe' pain that I took the first couple days gave me really weird dreams, like fighting a clown marionette with a teddy bear and seeing my dog bleached white. Odd! The 'moderate pain' meds are better. I took one yesterday and none so far today. <br />
<br />
So. It's peaceful & quiet here. Randy's back at work and Angel went to work, then is off to the local community college to take a placement test (she finally went & enrolled!!) and then she has dance tonight. Since I haven't been sleeping well, I think it's from either too much sleep or maybe boredom, I think I'll drag out the cross-stitch project I started a couple years ago but haven't done much on it lately. It's a haunted house that was supposed to be done for H'ween 2013, heehee! Maybe 2016? <br />
<br />

I'm not quite up for busting out into celebratory dance just yet, but give me time! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Monday was my surgery and it went smoothly, besides the off & on mild anxiety attacks, that is! I went in Friday to have bloodwork done and got pre-registered so I was adorned with this lovely bracelet. Which wouldn't have been a big deal, but Friday was also mine & Randy's 10th anniversary! So I was stuck wearing this stupid thing all weekend. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5BUjzqaDWSWBJbUPqSYn5YUWQroeO_locPb3CVxft-ygydaRIJKnpfLvUSes5HBXEYeiWAW7XGxiFtcDaQxB3I0V-fSckavmvKwZCBtETA6rKxibmYcvrIJBvZp488eZ6pqVqhIETfEg/s1600/iPhone+051.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5BUjzqaDWSWBJbUPqSYn5YUWQroeO_locPb3CVxft-ygydaRIJKnpfLvUSes5HBXEYeiWAW7XGxiFtcDaQxB3I0V-fSckavmvKwZCBtETA6rKxibmYcvrIJBvZp488eZ6pqVqhIETfEg/s320/iPhone+051.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Luckily I have this cuff bracelet that covered it nicely so when we went out to dinner, I didn't look like an escapee from a mental hospital. Sparkly spiders are better than hospital bands anyday!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHOnBgBAAx7dN4CozMisMvZ-BpkyVP8dTcj4K6CH7zW2Qa28UMDdjb82VZKhJHrfUW9ptQ7WS8mBdYkqTP6vK0ZqLKrStUCd7uZeinfILYPoWiC9Unp9-MSge19OLT54XV802qj6PoS0E/s1600/iPhone+074.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHOnBgBAAx7dN4CozMisMvZ-BpkyVP8dTcj4K6CH7zW2Qa28UMDdjb82VZKhJHrfUW9ptQ7WS8mBdYkqTP6vK0ZqLKrStUCd7uZeinfILYPoWiC9Unp9-MSge19OLT54XV802qj6PoS0E/s320/iPhone+074.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Sunday was kind of rough. Randy & Angel were both off doing their own things, so I was alone, doing the grocery shopping & laundry (I had to have clean sheets, towels & pjs the night before going in - and I had to scrub down with anti-bacterial soap the night before and morning of surgery) So a couple freak-out moments happened. Jack and Chester were my little shadows. One of them was always close by and if I were sitting, one was touching me. My sweet baby furboys! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I checked into pre-op at 0600 Monday. I never had to wait long for anything. The nurses did their thing and I met the anesthesiologist and my doctor popped in to say hi and explain all that was going on to me & Randy. They took me back pretty close to 0730. I remember being wheeled into the OR and getting moved onto the really narrow table and looking up at the lights. The anesthesiologist said something about straightening my arms so he could tuck me in and that was the last thing I remember until they woke me up! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Apparently when they put me under, all of my innerds relaxed and dropped, so they didn't do the surgery laprascopically (using 2 small incisions and a camera thru my belly-button). She was able to cut & remove the entire thing vaginally, so I will heal faster! So my uterus with all the fibroids & polyps, my cervix & fallopian tubes are GONE!!! Hooray! But I still have my ovaries, which should prevent early menopause. Hooray, again!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Time didn't exist for me. I have no idea how long I was in recovery and then they told me they were taking me to my room and that they'd tell my family where I'd be. I swear the transport people took me thru a maze with all the turning they did, then they went up a ramp and I distinctly heard my Mom say "yoohoooo" I opened my eyes and waved, then told kids pushing me I was going to pretend I didn't know that woman! Heehee! It was about noon when I got in my room. Randy said Mom had gotten there about 0830 so at least he had company. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The office my gynecologist works out of has a Dr. Love! I've talked to him on the phone but never actually met him. He was at the hospital and made a point of tracking Randy down in the waiting room to meet him! Heehee!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So the anesthesia gave me the worst cotton mouth and my throat was sore from the breathing tube they'd given me. It took a couple days to lose that soreness / gunky feeling. It really hurt to cough. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I drifted off & on all day, and they finally took the catheter out a little after 3 and took the cuffs off my legs (that inflated & deflated to prevent blood clots) around 5 so I could get up and use the bathroom. They were really started to get annoying so I never put them back on, altho I was supposed to have them on while in bed. Hell, once I went pee that first time, all the water I'd been drinking due to cotton mouth caught up to me so I was getting up plenty! I was only woozy the first time standing, but the nurse's assistant was there to help me. The second time, Randy was there to make sure I was OK, but I felt pretty steady and could toddle around on my own, with my trusty IV stand. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Angel came up to visit and I was messing around with her about my socks. I'd been wearing the usual grippy socks but had them off since my feet were getting warm. I told her I wasn't able to do turns in second or my arabesque (dance moves) while wearing them. So I had Randy take this picture of me later (wearing said socks, tho!) and sent to her. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjx7ZKy-QU7qOuzwpodynt7Z0CPSmwY2eHEWANNcMCNwpbHwb7DWmOdr9JsP2HQ6dyb85H4SJ_oD_8ylMkl_kX3EMYRcrr40sEsigtSfh0ORg7ZD5tqTJQaSG9W7hGxjtuCO2tJHjeJbsI/s1600/iPhone+011.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjx7ZKy-QU7qOuzwpodynt7Z0CPSmwY2eHEWANNcMCNwpbHwb7DWmOdr9JsP2HQ6dyb85H4SJ_oD_8ylMkl_kX3EMYRcrr40sEsigtSfh0ORg7ZD5tqTJQaSG9W7hGxjtuCO2tJHjeJbsI/s320/iPhone+011.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Man, I look rough, but I don't care!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Once I got to my room and got my initial pain meds, I never really felt actual pain. They didn't give me enough to actually <i>remove</i> all the pain, it just dulled it down to mere discomfort (bloated belly, sore from the catheter, achy lower back, etc) and that's all I've felt until today. I've even had a little bit today where I felt completely normal! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have learned that if I go anywhere in the car, I need to wear the belly binder they gave me in the hospital. It's basically a wide elastic band that velcros to however tight I want it and helps hold everything in place. Randy took me to Tim Horton's yesterday and I didn't have it on, so I felt every single bump on the road - and around here? That's a LOT. I told my sister I'd go to her house and check on her inside cats while she's gone for a few days, so Randy is taking me out there tonight. I will have the binder on! I cringe to think of bouncing down a dirt road! Don't worry - the heaviest I will lift is a cup of cat food to refill their bowl.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have my follow up visit with my doctor on the 25th and the gyn said that's when most people drive for the first time. So we'll see what she says about going back to work. I let my boss know all this and she said to keep her informed and if I'm not ready to come back, then I'm not allowed to! She'd rather have me as close to 100% as possible so I don't hurt myself. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've been enjoying my impromptu naps. I've been taking around 2 a day, plus sleeping all night. Feeling no guilt at all! Randy took sick days Monday & Tuesday (but the assholes from work still called him just as he settled in to nap with me!) and is working from home the rest of the week. So between him & Angel, I'll be taken care of. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I really appreciate all Randy has done for me. He stayed at the hospital from 6am Monday until 10:30pm and was back again at 7:30am Tuesday morning. I know he had to have been bored to tears just sitting there, but he never once acted like it! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Nope, won't be doing Zumba for a while!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Feel free to send some prayers & good mojo to help with recovery, I'd appreciate all the help I can get!</div>

I knew it had been a while since I posted here, but it's been like 7 weeks! Damn. I apologize for that. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So. I've been pretty much staying even on the scale. I was on vacation from 6/19-6/27 in Charleston with the girl and her dance team for Nationals - so it was only a quasi-vacation, but while I didn't go crazy with my eating, I wasn't 100% careful, either. I did get to a point where I was craving veggies, so we went to Wendy's and I got one of their apple pecan chicken salads. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img src="https://media4.giphy.com/media/VkM7sV2DoZvZ6/200.gif" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I didn't go crazy on the 4th of July, either. No alcohol even happened! And we had steak one night, BBQ from a Bar & Grill one night, burgers last night. We didn't go to any parties, so things were under control. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
FYI - a FitBit will set off an airport scanner! I didn't even think about it, so when I went thru the thingy, they told me they needed to check my left shoulder. Well, I wear it at the top of my left bra cup and it was indeed near my shoulder when my arms were raised! They asked if I needed to have a private screening. Umm, no. All I had to do was reach into my shirt and unhook it. It's not like I had to undress. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We got home Monday and I went to the WW meeting Tuesday. I was up 3.3 lbs, but today (1 week later) I was down 3.7! So I lost all that vacation baggage. Hooray! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm having issues with my WW account right now. While I was gone, they tried to take payment for my monthly pass, but I'd forgotten that someone had tried to use my credit card in another state and the bank shut my card off and issued me a new one! So I was getting emails from WW to update my account, but I didn't see them until I got home. As soon as I did see them, I went in and updated my payment info, but now it appears my account is cancelled but only partially. I can't track or see any plan info or even my WW profile, but I can go onto the message boards and see that profile. The lady at the front desk couldn't help, so I have an email into tech support. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I honestly haven't even been really trying a whole lot, since I go in next Monday for my hysterectomy! There's a lot of stress in my life where sometimes I feel like I could get physically ill or just cry. I don't know if it's residual from the trip, the drama we're currently having with the girl, work or the fact that in less than a week I'll be in the hospital for an overnight stay? Probably a combination of everything. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I already plan on missing next week's meeting, since I'll just be getting home from the hospital on Tuesday. I'm sure the last thing I'll be worried about is getting on a scale! Although I am curious to find out how much everything they take out weighs. I have multiple fibroids and polyps in there and I know some of them are golf-ball sized. So it's scary, but I'm still looking forward to the procedure. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Well, I think today's anxiety is wearing off (we went to grab some dinner, then I made Randy take me to "At Home" (a home goods store) because I knew they were starting to get Halloween stuff in, so I got me some Vitamin Orange! Now I'm feeling a bit better and am ready to hit the sack. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Later!</div>

<br />
I'm pretty content with how the progress reports look. I keep forgetting to update my weight on the FitBit, but its done now. I was down 1.6 lbs at the meeting last night. Party! I was up a bit last week, but I'm sure it was from PMS.<br />
<br />
Rosa the leader always gives us something to work toward each week. This week's will be pretty easy, since Randy left today for Hamvention in Dayton, OH and won't be home until Sunday. She suggested having 1 meal with meat of the 2 legged variety (chicken / turkey / ostrich / goose / etc) and 1 meal completely meatless. I'm sure I can do that. I wonder if my Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki sub from Subway tonight counts?? Heehee, I'm sure it does, but I won't count it. <br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
Pepino Melon.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Kinda pricey at $2 for this little thing.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Tasted like a combination of honeydew melon & cucumber. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I have a confession to make. I'm trying to get a jumpstart to start the scale on the downward spiral again. Someone I follow on Instagram is a distributor for this stuff called It Works so I thought I'd give it a try. So far....not a damn thing. I'm in my second month so its not like I just started. <br />
<br />
She posted testimonies of people doing the 2 days cleanse (not shown in the pictures) and losing 4-8 lbs. It didn't change my 'movements' any and the stuff was really freakin' nasty tasting. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgK49x8Y0fJQMKIwPerf52yA-7KzhkCzNjLwUxW3mlL7Mka_u4vFon3IlICB0rJcKbAhrF9Z09YdV5GXal5sim0sukdOS0Bug8NuAFjhyphenhyphenj9hSodv2yrxOG_OauEuzxbA_B22NlWRvSBLnyD/s1600/iPhone+011+%25286%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgK49x8Y0fJQMKIwPerf52yA-7KzhkCzNjLwUxW3mlL7Mka_u4vFon3IlICB0rJcKbAhrF9Z09YdV5GXal5sim0sukdOS0Bug8NuAFjhyphenhyphenj9hSodv2yrxOG_OauEuzxbA_B22NlWRvSBLnyD/s320/iPhone+011+%25286%2529.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
The Greens are pretty disgusting, too. I'm not even exactly sure what this stuff is for. Here's what the website says about it...<span style="background-color: white; font-family: BrandonGrotesqueRegular; font-size: 18px; line-height: 20px;"><i>With multiple servings of fruits and vegetables and a blend of 38 herbs and nutrient-rich superfoods, Greens provides naturally occurring, bioavailable vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, phytonutrients, and enzymes to give your already well-balanced diet a nutritional boost. It’s maximum support for your best health, all in a new delicious berry flavor. </i></span> I tried drinking it the first couple days and just no. So I've been mixing it with my oatmeal and trying to cover it up with PB2 (which actually makes sort of a tolerable PB&J flavor) or fresh strawberries. <br />
<br />
The Wraps don't seem to be doing anything, either. They're a bit smaller than what I'd like and the smell is kind of pungent with eucalyptus and other stuff. But not too bad and it's sort of tingly and cool while on. Other than that - nada. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVy2s6GLiFARQIpaWiq7Au4CW3S9FLsuOq-r2hfKflHGSa2ExprGDQ6PFQ6oBnt7fWe-qbVY15gUnnpWn-wMiTpXjhSiWA922k_vOy4zuAXzClm_m7J8FZa_HFRM1EZRuZ2JvLQEcdDCcm/s1600/iPhone+362.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVy2s6GLiFARQIpaWiq7Au4CW3S9FLsuOq-r2hfKflHGSa2ExprGDQ6PFQ6oBnt7fWe-qbVY15gUnnpWn-wMiTpXjhSiWA922k_vOy4zuAXzClm_m7J8FZa_HFRM1EZRuZ2JvLQEcdDCcm/s320/iPhone+362.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So my second shipment just came last Saturday I got the bare minimum, since I had to sign up for 3 auto shipments to get the distributor's sale price for the items. I just tried the defining gel for the first time tonight on my thighs. It smells the same as the wraps, but it doesn't linger too long. So we'll see how this goes. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I emailed the distributor and asked her what I could be doing wrong and she's suggesting stuff like "compare measurements & pictures", etc. since I took before photos. Well, if my clothes aren't fitting any differently, I don't think the tape measure or photos will tell me anything different. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Oh, I have a TMI update on my female issues <a href="http://n8ltg.blogspot.com/2016/02/sometimes-it-sucks-being-female.html">(part 1 here)</a>. Besides the fact I still haven't stopped bleeding since mid-January...my IUD came out tonight! It was installed (inserted?) on March 16 and I went in a month later for an ultrasound to ensure it was still in place. It was. I noticed a couple days ago I was cramping some. Normally my cramps are in my lower back but they were in the front, lower belly this time. I assumed it was just things getting settled still. So when I got in the shower after Zumba tonight (I got on Monday & Wednesday) I rinsed all areas like I always do before washing, and felt a little feeling (I don't know how to explain, it was more of a mental thought and not a physical feeling) to take the shower hose and spray down there again. A HUGE clot of grossness came out - I mean like golfball sized! So I directed the water to wash it to the drain and went to push it around so it would go thru the holes, but I felt something in it. Yes - gross I know, but I did pick it up. Sure enough - the IUD was embedded in this mass of tissue. Awesome. So I'll be calling the doc tomorrow to see what the next plan of action should be. I honestly wished I'd gone right with doing a hysterectomy back in the beginning of this fibroid adventure. Maybe it'll still be an option. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm still loving Zumba, tho. The instructor, Nancy, also does what she calls Brazilly - sort of Samba / bellydance and booty work. So she changes it up and keeps us on our toes! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
But now it's late and I'm going to enjoy hogging the entire bed tonight - unless the cats get to it first! Later!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
#SnS (I need to change this - this is a code I made up that lets Twitterfeed know to post this onto Twitter for me) My other blogs I have a signature and that's what TF goes by. Just need to make an update! Soon, but not tonight. I'm tired!</div>

<b>Fired a Gun?</b> Yes, it's been a while but I actually own a 12-gauge singleshot shotgun. I also learned to shoot a .45 in bootcamp and had to qualify with a shotgun while on my first ship. I had to load & shoot the ocean. Kinda hard to miss that target!<br /><br /><div>
<b>Gone on a blind date?</b> Yes, like most - it was awkward.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>

<div>

<div>
<b>Stolen any traffic signs?</b> No<br /><b><br /></b></div>
<div>
<b>Been in a car accident?</b> I got rear-ended 5 different times!!! I was convinced that 2000 Ford Escort green was like a cloak of invisibility. The BasicsI'll be posting again probably tomorrow when I've actually gone to a WW meeting and gotten on a scale! I've been going to Zumba twice a week and oddly enough, I've learned the deeper the squats I do, the more I feel it in my thighs instead of just in my knees. I have to say, I'm glad I attend classes at my daughter's second home (aka the dance studio) because the ballet barres come in handy for lunges. There are a lot of us dance moms who go to these classes, because we all have a trip to SC coming up in 2 months and we want to be the "Hot Dance Mamas"! <div>
<img alt="At the beach: " height="331" src="https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/a5/8a/c6/a58ac631c86b94705e334716da91a3f9.jpg" width="400" /></div>
<div>
So I missed the meeting tonight & I was ticked. I didn't go last week, so I was looking forward to going tonight. However, Miss Angela made arrangements with a guy she works with who is attending the Paul Mitchell Cosmetology school, to color and trim her hair. And Heaven forbid this kid go do anything alone! She's gone to this school to have work done before but yet she insisted on me going with her. I was going to meet up with her after my meeting! So. I said I'd go to the meeting Wednesday, even tho I don't like the later time & usually don't like the leader, but I'd deal. So I changed into jeans and grabbed a snack before we left for the salon. Then this guy texted her and said he had a class and asked if the could postpone until tomorrow! WTF - I just finished chewing my last freakin' bite of food!!!! If he'd texted 5 minutes sooner, I could have changed back out of my jeans and gone to the meeting. Look Sunshine. I'm not missing my meeting again and it's also Zumba night. You can go alone, dammit. At least the dog got a walk out of the debacle.<br /><br />Moving on.... the lovely Miss Kenlie brought back Friend Makin' Mondays! It's been a few minutes since we did one of these. </div>

<div>
<b>How often do you make your bed?</b> Personally, I usually only do on weekends. During the week, the hubby is just starting to stir, so he makes it when he gets up. </div>
<div>
<br /><b>What are you currently reading?</b> I haven't been reading much by way of books, but the A-Z Challenge is keeping me busy. (I'm at <a href="http://n8ltg.blogspot.com/">Tales From The Love Shaque</a> and I'm writing about the plethora of Halloween stuff that I have.)</div>
<div>
<br /><b>Do you go to bed at a certain time?</b> I have the alarm set on my phone for 10:15 to get ready for bed with the intent to be IN bed by 11. That clearly isn't happening tonight, but I'm ok with that. </div>
<div>
<br /><b>What are your favorite TV shows currently?</b> I don't watch much TV, but I'm watching Season 8 of RuPaul's DragRace. It airs on Monday nights, but I watch it online Tuesday so I can watch the behind-the-scenes shows they have, too. </div>
<div>
<br /><b>What’s the weirdest thing you’ve eaten lately?</b> Hmm. The girl works for a Thai restaurant so I've been sampling their food. It's not really weird, tho. They offer a mean Thai margarita there, too! Let's say I did NOT drive home the last time I was there!</div>
<div>
<br /><b>Do you have any trips planned? </b>Charleston SC in June! The girl's dance team is going to Nationals so 10 days or so near the beach. I don't know how much we'll actually get to go to the beach, because she qualified in enough dances where she's likely to be competing every day, Tuesday - possibly Sunday. Oh, and July 8 is mine & hubby's 10 year anniversary. There may be a short trip planned then, but I don't know what ideas are churning inside his melon! I was told to take Friday & Monday off work. </div>
<div>
<br /><b>How many cups of coffee do you drink per day?</b> I don't drink much coffee. I have a can of Coke Zero once I get to work and maybe one more in the evening. The rest of the time is water with Crystal lite. </div>
<div>
<br /><b>It’s Saturday night, and you decided to stay in? What do you do to entertain yourself?</b> I do some blogging or reading or maybe half-heartedly watch whatever the hubby has on. I need to finish a cross-stitch piece I've been working on for a good 2 years! I also have a H'ween project I've started and need to paint. I found a plastic horse at the Salvation Army and I'm planning to make it into a ghost-horse. Meaning solid black with an ivory skeleton. </div>
<div>
<br /><b>When you give a gift do you wrap it, or do you put it in a gift bag?</b> Depends. I like to wrap boxes, but if its a bunch of smaller items or weirdly shaped, I'll bag it. </div>
<div>
<br /><b>Share one thing from last week that made you smile?</b> These two always make me smile! Chester (my orange boy) is at least 16 years old and Daisy will a 1 next month. He is such a good big brother and they snuggle all the time. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
One of the guys at work cracked me up yesterday. I'd just gotten there and was putting my lunch in the fridge, etc. Joe walked into the the kitchen with this mean look on his face. I looked up to say Good Morning, but stopped. He asked "is it always like this?" Of course I was confused. He went on the say "hot, then cold, then hot, then cold" Then I understood & started to laugh - Friday was 60+ degrees and sunny, then Saturday started out nice, then developed winter weather advisories for Saturday night / Sunday!! He's clearly not from Michigan, but I heard someone say they thought Joe was from Buffalo, NY, which I think would be worse!</div>
<br />Now it’s your turn to answer this week’s questions. Don’t forget to head over and link up in the comments. </div>

OMG, I was thinking about this for 2 days! A honeycrisp apple and reduced-fat cheddar. Mmmmm. I had cheese yesterday & ate it, THEN thought about having it with the apple. And it totally lived up to my expectations. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
I just had to throw that on here. It was SO GOOOOOD!</div>
<br />
So, female issues (STILL!) aside, I had a good week on the scale - down 1.4 lbs. I didn't go to Zumba last Wednesday (was at the gyn office again), but I did go Monday. It was funny that I didn't feel terribly sore in the days after that, but at the WW meeting on Tuesday, when we did the 5 minutes of a Leslie Sansone DVD, I could feel my butt muscles big time!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I sucked for journalling. I need to force myself to do it every day!<br />

Last Saturday was the laziest day ever! My total steps came in at 2411. The whole family was a bunch of slugs. Angel had spent the night at a friend's and got home at 9:30am - and went back to bed and I didn't see her again until after 2. Randy had a sinus headache and it was almost 2 before he got vertical. I took the dog out & fed him at 6:30 and for sure went back to bed. I woke up when Angel came in and was in bed, drifting in & out of sleep while messing around on my phone. I finally got up at like 11:30 when the dog wanted out again. We did a whole lot of nothing - it was glorious!<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
The rest of the week's stats aren't too horrible. </div>
<br />
So the challenge this weekend will be Easter. We'll be heading out to my sister's on Friday night and going out to dinner. Then Saturday will be the big family dinner & egg-coloring festivities. Sunday is the egg-hunt, but it looks like it'll just be my fam & Laurie since everyone else will be leaving Saturday night. Pfft. Their loss! On the plus side, I usually get plenty of activity in during weekend's at Laurie's. I'll be out to the barn a bunch of times, we'll take the dogs for a walk. Stuff like that.<br />
<br />
I'm gonna sign off here - it's almost time for the Thursday night #azchat #atozChallenge Twitter chat. Have you signed up for the <a href="http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/">A to Z Challenge?</a> Last I saw, there were over 1400 blogs signed up!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I put a call in to the gyn today. My female issues were acting up again and being on the pill was doing absolutely nothing for me. The gyn told me to skip the placebo week so that's what I was going to do. But, the insurance company said I was refilling them too soon and wouldn't let me refill then again until yesterday, which made me skip a few days and gave my "regular" cycle a chance to start. So after lying down all night, when I got up you can just imagine how gravity reacted to that fun! But anyhoo. I'm so done with this nonsense! I've been bleeding for a full 2 months now, with only 1 1.2 day break. I moved up to option #2. She did a biopsy on my uterus (just so we know!) and she installed an IUD, so I have a continual dosage of hormones which will hopefully (fingers & toes crossed) slow or stop the bleeding. Hooray! But it still does nothing for the fibroids. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is a weird thing. First of all, if I'd known how bad everything would make me cramp on top of the ones I already had, I would have taken some drugs before going in. And I totally skipped Zumba tonight. One of the last things the gyn said was "I hope it stays in!" I was all WTF! Don't tell me things like that! She said that my cervix was dilated a little bit, due to my current bleeding, and apparently that opening is what holds it in place. So yeah - I sure as hell wasn't going to Zumba! I'm sure Monday will be OK to start going again. Even before I had this done, I wasn't going to go. I didn't want to be doing my thing and start leaking or any of that grossness in the studio! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I came home and took some ibuprofen and heated up the heating pad and crashed on the bed with the cats. I'm all paranoid since I keep expecting to be able to feel it like a tampon, but I know I'm not supposed to. But I'm also freaked out, what if it falls out when I use the bathroom and I don't know it? I don't analyze what's in the bowl before I flush. I go back in a month for an ultrasound to check on it, so I guess I'll know then! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here's my fitbit stats for last week. I'm pretty pleased with those. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Oh yeah - I was down .8 lb. I was hoping more, but I'll take it!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

You sure can tell the days I did Zumba - I have an 11K step day and a 12K day! Saturday I was at my sister's and we went to my parent's place <a href="http://n8ltg.blogspot.com/2016/03/a-sad-trip-down-memory-lane.html">up north </a> so we did a lot of walking around up there, for old time's sake.<br />

I actually journalled! And planned! That took a lot longer than I expected. I couldn't keep my attention on it, but it's done AND I have a grocery list made. I've been thinking it's Thursday all day today!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I slept really good last night, I guess it started to storm around 2, but it didn't wake my up until almost 4. I don't think I opened my eyes, but heard the thunder & saw lightning thru my eyelids and I thought, yay! Then went back to sleep. I love storms!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
No exciting plans for St. Patrick's Day. We did our girl's night Saturday with the sister's but I haven't blogged about it yet. We had Bloody Mary's then went out to dinner. Then went back to Laurie's and played a rousing game of Pie Face and some Scattergories, then watched Dr. Pol on TV. We are such crazy party animals!! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I need to get ready for bed so I can make my 2300 taps. Keep sending those thoughts & prayers this way! </div>

I've been flying under the radar lately. So let's get caught up with the lovely female issues, shall we? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

February 26, I went to see the gyn and had an ultrasound. I played phone tag with her for a couple days before finally catching her call on Wednesday 3/2. I do indeed have fibroids, dammit. First of all, I don't know if these means anything, but my uterus is tilted and slightly enlarged. It's approx 8 cm across, or the size of a large fist (which I have so a good visual!) Fibroid #1 is 5 centimeters or about 2.5 inches. #2 is 2cm and #3 is 1cm. If there are more, they're much smaller. They are all embedded in the uterine wall, so a D&C wouldn't do anything. I had an appointment with the gyn again on Friday the 4th to talk about options so I made Randy go with me.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I did have a whole 2 days of freedom! The bleeding had actually stopped! That made for a whopping 6 days since mid-January....then it started again. WAH wah. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I was really nervous for this appointment and I'm not really sure why. And the same girl who took my vitals (and had to clean up after me) at the exam was the one who took us back - I'm sure she probably changed her tune after telling me "a little bit of blood doesn't bother us, or we wouldn't be in this field!"</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So my options. Oh, my thyroid functions were all fine. And I was only a wee bit anemic, which the gyn was happy about, after all the blood I had lost. Anyhoo. I could stay on the pill, which is supposed to be controlling the bleeding, but isn't very effective. I could get an IUD, also to control the bleeding. Or she could basically burn the lining of my uterus, to control the bleeding. Ugh no. I really don't like that idea at all! But no matter what I chose, the fibroids would still be there. The only way to get rid of them is by having a hysterectomy. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's funny that before I was all about that. Yeah - take those parts, I don't want them! And even tho I know 110% that no more kids are in our future, actually being faced with making that decision kind of made me freak out! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So. Since the problem isn't life-threatening, I'm starting at the bottom. I'm staying on the pill for three months, then I have an appointment with the gyn again so she can see how things are going. Then at 6 months, I need to have another ultrasound to make sure they're not growing. Fibroids are supposed to be very slow-growing but she wants to make sure no surprises happen. So if things aren't going well, we can move up the steps of drama. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hmm. now that I think about it. I had a physical last August, but the doc didn't do a pap smear. He said I didn't need to do one every year. Hmm. So these have been baking for around 18 months. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I really thought I had a powerful imagination. I was willing to bet that I could feel something in my lower belly. It still feels almost distended, like I have no muscle tone to hold my innards in. I know I'm out of shape, but sheesh! So I told the gyn about it. She said I probably WAS feeling them! That's when she told me how big they are. I really like wearing jeans now. It feels like they push everything back into place. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the heck of it, here's my reports for the last couple weeks.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
week ending 2/28 - didn't weigh in. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Didn't journal at all. Pppft. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEin02xh6hew2efxmROnDD0JbnmzjOojluQcEeVuz84OSe0d7ECzQ1zI-t7NYdOut0giT5GLFo8ly77_Syi8xdoaRW7cf7fj3qNYFlaWU3gawnDscGeVv-G1MCjPoHBz22zRpAb3nDz6Q4Ub/s1600/we+022816.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEin02xh6hew2efxmROnDD0JbnmzjOojluQcEeVuz84OSe0d7ECzQ1zI-t7NYdOut0giT5GLFo8ly77_Syi8xdoaRW7cf7fj3qNYFlaWU3gawnDscGeVv-G1MCjPoHBz22zRpAb3nDz6Q4Ub/s640/we+022816.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
week ending 3/6 - up 1.9lbs</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm actually pleasantly surprised with this. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHPSjBvcn8zhhzm0Jl6lhqJldrhf0UXpmvDSZqbQGafXFLFWHON9MyrVFixTP3L1h40qiIFVkObOcfCL0B-ttaYSXFsgkh-GHsfyUskwgptfi5vNQAVK6VVZP1kTDloBtVgJaJMa-Fu3rn/s1600/we+030616.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHPSjBvcn8zhhzm0Jl6lhqJldrhf0UXpmvDSZqbQGafXFLFWHON9MyrVFixTP3L1h40qiIFVkObOcfCL0B-ttaYSXFsgkh-GHsfyUskwgptfi5vNQAVK6VVZP1kTDloBtVgJaJMa-Fu3rn/s640/we+030616.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I am feeling better. I'd feel a LOT more better if I didn't have to wear a darn mattress in my undies, if ya catch my drift. But it's not anywhere near as heavy and gross as it was those couple days. It's just enough to be annoying now. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
But I'm back watching what I'm eating and not shoveling in whatever I happen to see. I am going to town on veggies! I missed 2 weeks at WW (in my defense, last Tuesday we got dumped on with snow and the roads were icy. So I played pansy and didn't want to drive in that if I really didn't have to!) Wednesday I was at a funeral home, my sister's mother-in-law passed away so I was at the visitation. Then Thursday was dress rehearsal at Miss Angela's dance studio because they had regionals this weekend. So I really didn't have another chance to go. By the way - <a href="http://n8ltg.blogspot.com/2016/03/charleston-bound.html">here's incentive</a> to get back on the ball! And they started offering Zumba classes at the studio again, so I went for the first time last night. Ugh! It's my shoulders & back that hurt the most today. I thought I got rid of that knot between my shoulder blades from shoveling snow, but it's back! I can only imagine how it would be if I already knew the moves and did ALL the arms! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And if I'd been at my WW meeting last week, I would have known they started this Walk Happy thing where they're introducing the classes to the joys of Leslie Sansone's Walk At Home DVDs! So we did like 10 minutes of a DVD so people could experience it. I was in a skirt & flats. So I kicked my shoes off & did it barefoot! The leader also forgot and had a skirt, tights & heels on, but she did it, too!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Funny what a week can do! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Last Tuesday was cold, snowy & icy. This Tuesday I took this. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And I have crocuses blooming out in the yard!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
First I've been having <a href="http://n8ltg.blogspot.com/2016/02/sometimes-it-sucks-being-female.html">female issues</a> again. I've mentioned them not too long ago. The link goes to my bother blog that explains in detail. Last Sunday I woke up with lower back pain. Monday it hurt so bad, a coworker gave me one of her prescription Motrin 600s and all it did was dull the pain. Tuesday I cried my way thru the shower before work, it hurt so bad. I took 3 220mg ibuprofen before work and another 500 at lunch and it finally started to be tolerable.<br />
<br />
Wednesday I still had pain, but I was finally figuring out it was cramps, too. Oh yay, my favorite thing! And we got crap-tons of snow dumped on us. It was warm enough to make the snow really heavy, too. We didn't shovel until Thursday afternoon, tho. It was even worse, since we'd driven on the driveway multiple times, so it was really packed down.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJWsDrML-APmw_YbbRMnNPEDqEPEisT6ipUNrRcBo8CKKcj0BTMMzS0PxdchnQca_cf5C-zZRSkmrrudSIrMzbeNjGjCWsu9yFQPCEJ4mNiMMD6xLVjJoz2wtIEkOny7I8HGA-pVj7ntt8/s1600/a4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="210" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJWsDrML-APmw_YbbRMnNPEDqEPEisT6ipUNrRcBo8CKKcj0BTMMzS0PxdchnQca_cf5C-zZRSkmrrudSIrMzbeNjGjCWsu9yFQPCEJ4mNiMMD6xLVjJoz2wtIEkOny7I8HGA-pVj7ntt8/s320/a4.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Thursday morning is when the issues started getting bad. And I got mad at the family to the point where this meme could have been true. Pardon the language. (I actually think this is pretty hilarious now!) I don't even want to write about it, since I dealt with things badly and ended up having to apologize to both Randy & Angel even tho they were the ones being stubborn buttheads.<br />

So moving on. Due to above said female issues, I didn't go weigh in this week. Friday morning at the regular doctor's office, wearing jeans and not long after breakfast, I weighed in at 222.8. Which is up a bit from 219.5 from last week. That mid-afternoon in a different doctor's office, still wearing jeans but having only had a cup of yogurt since earlier, I was down to 221.3. Meh. Guess that's not too bad. <br />
<br />
Oh, this is so weird! Friday afternoon after I got home from all the doctor visits, I was laying across the bed with the cats and dozed off for a little bit. I woke up with a cramp in my leg. My right foot was rolled inward and I couldn't straighten it out or put any weight on it. It hurt so bad that I started feeling faint! At least I think that's what it was. I felt hot & my vision was going black around the edges and I was having a hard time keeping my balance. Once I almost fell, so I sat back down on the bed and held on until I started feeling clearer. I was sore for the rest of the night. It was a weird place, tho. It wasn't directly above my ankle bone on the outside and not directly in back, but in between. And below my actual calf muscle. Weird.<br />
<br />
I've been doing really lousy in my journalling this week, also. Here's last week's round-up. I finally reached my massage goal! HOOORAY!!! I still have a knot between my shoulder blades from shovelling Thursday night, so a massage would be very welcome. I just need to get my booty into the place to get it done. Now I'm going to start over to work toward another massage!<br />

2 out of the 7 days had over 6000 steps, 2 of them had over 7000 and one had over 9000!<br />

So that's the excitement going on here. Randy was so funny tonight. He noted that our Saturday consisted of 2 trips to Tim Hortons (and we STILL haven't won anything on Roll Up the Rim to Win!!), 2 different Salvation Armies, 2 trips to CVS, a dollar store, a nap and dinner at the Thai restaurant where Angel works. It sounds kind of sad, but we are OK with that!<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So send some thoughts & good mojo & prayers this way so my health issues get resolved and have a great day!</div>

The whole "you may lost a few battles, but you can still win the war" and "we are revolutionaries", etc, etc, etc. Weird. <br />
<br />
Anyhoo. I was up 1.5 lbs and the reasons why all popped immediately into my head. It simply all adds up to bad choices. Randy & I went out to an early Valentine dinner Saturday night. We began with amaretto sours, then I had a plate of veal scallopini marsala and followed up with a nutty Irishman coffee (with Baileys and other good stuff in it). Sunday morning we had cinnamon rolls. Sunday night was Chinese carry out. Sweet & sour chicken. Fried Rice. Crab Rangoons. Ya know. And Monday we had beer battered fish sticks & french fries. That basically totally negated the 3 days of 3 mile Walk at Home workouts. <br />
<br />
I was planning on 4 walks, but I must have been fighting a bug this weekend. I couldn't get warm most of Saturday and spent a lot of time under the covers in bed, with my feet under the biggest cat. Sunday, I moved furniture around in the bedroom to clean and found many hair ties, hair clippies and a lot of earrings I've been missing. And dust bunnies enough to take over the world!<br />
<br />
But I have no choice but to own up to it and move on. And I'm sure that the mild female issues I've been having hasn't helped any! <br />
<br />
So here's my journal for last week. I'm seeing the left side numbers coming up some, except for the bottom part of the list. I'm been keeping up on laundry and dishes, but I haven't been shining the sink at night (I'm not nuts, look <a href="http://www.flylady.net/">here</a>!) and for Taps, it should be 3/5 days since I don't even both trying on Friday & Saturday nights.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

You can really tell the days I did the Walk At Home DVDs! And wearing heels to the store registers steps more easily than when I wear tennis shoes! Because Sunday I did some shopping at Hobby Lobby and was in there for a good hour and didn't clock many steps.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So tomorrow should be another DVD day, but last weekend was a big Ice Festival in town. so I'm going to take the dog and go walk around, looking at the ice sculptures and stuff. It's only supposed to get up to 30* tomorrow so I'll be really bundled up and we probably won't be out there long so Jack doesn't get too cold. But some fresh air & a happy dog make it worthwhile! I can always do a shorter DVD when I get home. I've been cold a lot lately, so they really help to warm me up!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So I better sign off so I can get ready for bed. It's getting late - chao!</div>

I'm sure I could still get one in, but I'm curious to see how it goes after finally starting to purposely exercise. Both Tuesday & tonight I did the Leslie Sansone Walk Slim 3 Fast Miles which equates to 45 minutes of a good cardio sweat, right in my living room! So I plan on doing it Saturday & again Monday. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I was actually planning on going to the meeting on Wednesday until I saw a note that Miss Angela brought home about a Q&A meeting at the studio about Nationals in June - at the same time as the WW meeting is. Oh man. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 years ago, every single dance they took to Regionals moved on to Nationals, so they're quite confident. I'm kinda getting excited - more than a week in Charleston SC! Too bad most of it will be in a convention center. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Anyhoo, it looks like 2 weeks until I earn my massage! I'm still having a hard time getting 5 fruits or veg in each day! I usually have a Lean Cuisine or Smart One for lunch and I have a hard time believing those have a full serving of veggies. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The eTools went nuts when it updated with all those FitPoints! I saw the email where they're going to adjust how the site calculates FitPoints and such. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I'm going to start bumping up my goal # of steps in my journal. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I thought this was funny! I checked my FitBit app Tuesday and saw this! I showed Randy and started laughing and that sent it over 10K!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBFQEKPAI_NOk6bYttDiM7YMncoVZ6idA1YNTSSC7wHeRAKAhwfmrdH0RTxR8UI7I7xlKBQYvlRZXd8wJhnuY-aeUtp8mIStMgMw_GHh_sBCa3xfkTiWpYc_rHiFFc3KIRG2SsX5BO4y8j/s1600/iPhone+006.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBFQEKPAI_NOk6bYttDiM7YMncoVZ6idA1YNTSSC7wHeRAKAhwfmrdH0RTxR8UI7I7xlKBQYvlRZXd8wJhnuY-aeUtp8mIStMgMw_GHh_sBCa3xfkTiWpYc_rHiFFc3KIRG2SsX5BO4y8j/s320/iPhone+006.PNG" width="180" /></a></div>
So I have those steaks in the oven right now and the house smells so good! I could have taken them out and been happy 15 minutes ago, but Randy doesn't like his as rare as me. Pansy!<br />

Woohoo, down 2.4 lbs at weigh in on Tuesday! I also learned that if you wear your FitBit on the front of your bra, you shouldn't wear a purse across your body. We went to see the <a href="http://n8ltg.blogspot.com/2016/01/monster-jam-detroit-13016.html">Monster Trucks</a> at Ford Field (home of the Detroit Lions). We walked in from the parking lot, walked around the entire 2nd level concourse, then during intermission walked not quite a quarter way back around the concourse and back to get Miss Angela & temporarily adopted daughter Brittney pizza. My Fitbit for the day registered 6121 steps. I don't think so! Maybe my purse stopped the bounce? That's my story and I'm sticking to it! However on Monday I made up for it and finally broke 10,000 steps - WOOHOOO!! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So here's my Dime hournal for last week. I need to refine some of the items to be more specific. Vitamins need to be am/pm and to <a href="http://flylady.net/">Fly</a> I need to have my sink shined and have done the daily routine. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXswKSFGee832BEvQsc_oOPMWWc8G9jCkfV_UCNC_Kk9R9gU57yvDWE1ewisA_XC5t8JZU2ouD56A1L9nLhYzUHUrILOIOog2HCY2BfoAJuIbxSb1mpFn-h5B_yNYvEiPZtcLeC_mgsaPo/s1600/iPhone+035.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXswKSFGee832BEvQsc_oOPMWWc8G9jCkfV_UCNC_Kk9R9gU57yvDWE1ewisA_XC5t8JZU2ouD56A1L9nLhYzUHUrILOIOog2HCY2BfoAJuIbxSb1mpFn-h5B_yNYvEiPZtcLeC_mgsaPo/s320/iPhone+035.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here's my FitBit report. I hate that it ends on Sunday when my WW week ends on Monday. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg24AGuDdWUbl7srJDeHUHm9_l0EvyGeC3njJD98HOkZdDlq6QmNK-d5BdZGmdA4_OY3gkLiy14vLTgpcy7gbYP2uNT2JhLc9DojsexfEMUcpC3uENN78JMMICaUYeslcMIjwcj30PMny81/s1600/iPhone+004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg24AGuDdWUbl7srJDeHUHm9_l0EvyGeC3njJD98HOkZdDlq6QmNK-d5BdZGmdA4_OY3gkLiy14vLTgpcy7gbYP2uNT2JhLc9DojsexfEMUcpC3uENN78JMMICaUYeslcMIjwcj30PMny81/s320/iPhone+004.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is the closest I've gotten to a progress report on the WW site. So at least I know the FitPoints I record on my Work In Progress spreadsheet (on the tab above) match with something!</div>

So here's my thoughts. I just finished doing a 10 Day Blog Makeover <a href="http://danielauslan.com/facebook">Challenge</a>. You probably don't see anything different, because I haven't done anything with it! It was interesting but it seemed to be geared more toward DIY / lists / motivational / selling product blogs than mine is. The Facebook page that goes along with it is quite interesting, too. It's called Blogging on Your Own Terms. Most everyone is really supportive and someone is bound to be able to answer any questions you may have. It's actually a good way to find other blogs in (or maybe not!) your niche to read. And you'll probably end up with few new followers, too!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Anyhoo, someone posted a question about having multiple blogs. I personally have 3. This one, then there's <a href="http://n8ltg.blogspot.com/">Tales from the Love Shaque</a>, my personal one about life in general and last but not least is <a href="http://maplegrovecemetery.blogspot.com/">Maple Grove Cemetery</a> about my Halloween display and cemetery explorations. Someone commented on my answer that I could easily combine this blog with my general blog. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Back in the day, I waffled a lot between separating or combining the 2. In fact I meshed & unmeshed them several times. But since the bug got put back in my ear, I've really been thinking about it. Combining them back together, that is. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If I end up doing this, which I am seriously considering - it wouldn't happen until after the April A-Z Challenge anyway. And I have to research how to direct people from here to TFTLS. Since I really only post here once or twice a week, it won't be much drama in regards to content. It was mentioned that it would probably generate more traffic to my general blog and SEOs would like it better. I'm really not in blogging for the traffic & hits. I prefer quality over quantity anyway!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So that's the scoop. Do you have any thoughts about one of my bits of Blogosphere merging with another?</div>

<br />
The girl & I both had eye appointments last night, so I missed my usual meeting. Then she told her boss that she was bringing both Randy & I to the Thai restaurant that she works at so he could serve us. Well, Randy had to work late, so I went with her and we got him carry-out. I'm sure I made a great impression on her boss with my dilated eyes. I could barely read the menu! <br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
My blogging buddy. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
She doesn't offer much input.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLMa5saYOoOibEggPYaxuhw9KHMv9aVf6tcsOoaqtu4Wwd1w4E8WbxtTsrC1_M_-w47vnuQQW41_pZ-y6OEeKyweMPDpY1LBmdncyiZlULQ2s9wrNyRomsV8x8kDtrF94QYYAgyT_QXKBv/s1600/iPhone+016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLMa5saYOoOibEggPYaxuhw9KHMv9aVf6tcsOoaqtu4Wwd1w4E8WbxtTsrC1_M_-w47vnuQQW41_pZ-y6OEeKyweMPDpY1LBmdncyiZlULQ2s9wrNyRomsV8x8kDtrF94QYYAgyT_QXKBv/s320/iPhone+016.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
But I had a phenomenal Thai apple salad. Romaine lettuce, cashews, apples cut into tiny straws, chicken (their 'crispy' chicken tastes like Grandma's fried chicken) and a peanut sauce for dressing. It was quite tasty and I really don't know how I would count the SmartPoints on something like that. And the seafood rangoons. And some of her fried ice cream. Ooops.<br />
<br />
But I'm glad I went tonight, even if I'm not crazy about that particular leader. I was down .6 lb. I'll take it! <br />
<br />
It was a good night all around. I was down at WI. I found the damn skirt that I've been missing for entirely WAY too long and I found my WW bag with my Plan Guide, Shopping Guide and the old Power Foods book. I really need to find some new menu items - I have no imagination when it comes to dinner! Then adding 2 picky-asses into the mix and I'm lost.<br />
<br />
So I'm over halfway to earning my massage! I really sucked at getting my 5 fruits & veggies in last week. In my defense, several days I was at 4. I also went over the 35K steps for the week! Considering 2 of the days had less than 4K, I'm pretty happy.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is a recipe for tortellini soup that was the WW meeting tonight. I will tweak it a little, since I don't like cooked/canned tomatoes. I can eat them raw straight off the vine, but smooshy? Blargh. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Not sure why the Fitbit was reading sleep time. I haven't worn it at night! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipoox55lVros847qSy6-pYpgNpt5p4NE0O_PmDvhs2DCxFQujB79p2hVi5kZ2LVHlR2Dq3x4hQ3u1fDREXEUG4NTwBEYoZKHc1otBzxe5DVJykg_Vsp0auxBg0PUmCYyiuB4J2HgC77cRz/s1600/iPhone+014.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipoox55lVros847qSy6-pYpgNpt5p4NE0O_PmDvhs2DCxFQujB79p2hVi5kZ2LVHlR2Dq3x4hQ3u1fDREXEUG4NTwBEYoZKHc1otBzxe5DVJykg_Vsp0auxBg0PUmCYyiuB4J2HgC77cRz/s320/iPhone+014.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
So I'm going to sign off now - so I can get in bed before 11! Randy left for the weekend this morning for a radio thing he does every year way up north, so hopefully the cats don't hog the bed. I plan to sprawl!<br />

But life happens. And I had a 2.1 lb loss! WOOHOOOO!<br />
<br />
I did pretty good with my "diming". I learned that browsing in an antique store means you're not walking hard enough for steps to register, so last Sunday I only had 1537 steps recorded!<br />
<br />
It was nice having a menu planned out. I have a white board on the fridge where I post this so I can see at a glance in the morning if there's anything I need to set out for that evening. Or maybe if I want to switch days around, or whatever. I'll still know that I have the stuff to make whatever I choose. I'm nothing if not flexible, we're not having Chinese this week, we're going out for bd's Mongolian BBQ. Which is to my benefit, since I'll be using a LOT fewer SPs! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

My Fitbit weekly report. I love having it call me O Great One!<br />

<br />
We're going out to dinner tonight because Miss Angela requested it. She had her last All Star dance competition this morning and we think she deserves it. I posted the video on my YouTube channel, but it'll be the same routine as the one posted in December. They got 5th place this time! But they were up against 2 studios that we all know practice every day, and DOS does once a week. Maybe the teachers need to think about that?<br />
<br />
So I'm going to keep this short for now and I'll post again after this week's weigh in. I'll be going on Wednesday this week because I have an eye appointment Tuesday during my usual meeting time. What the heck was I thinking when I took that time slot?? Sheesh.<br />
<br />
Later!<br />

I didn't make it to my meeting tonight. I'll go tomorrow. Randy's been putting in some crazy insane hours at work (21 hours on Friday and all weekend, for example!!) and he told them he'd work from home today. Once I got home from work & grocery shopping, I'd rather spend time with him instead of Rosa. I can't even begin to express how much this work makes me want to throat-punch / kick-a-baby someone! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So here's my rundown of the week in "Diming". I earn a dime for each item on my list for a prospective $7.00 a week. I'm working towards a massage. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
*I drank at least 80oz of water every day. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
*Forgot my vitamin Saturday, which is unusual. I take those every day religiously. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
*I journaled in my book every day.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
*I only got 5 fruits & veg in 3 days. Still a work in progress.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
*I got 2 dairy every day, thanks to cheese sticks & yogurt!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
*I knew each morning what we were having for dinner & planned accordingly. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
*I only hit 5K steps on 3 days. It should be more, but I wore slippers most all day Saturday & Sunday and I tend to shuffle, so my steps didn't register. Pppth. Lesson learned!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
*I tracked every day. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
*I did 15 minutes of <a href="http://www.flylady.net/">FLYing</a> 6 out of 7.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
*And I was at least IN bed by 11pm 4 out of the 7 days. Weekends are going to be a fail, since Saturday Night Live is on. So 1/2 credit there, since we usually watch that while in bed. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_Z5VCtkdKBOzA8Qxkx7xhBBriJ8vpf5HSOjl9UzDfxW1AjVX6msLBL2-P-wcDeb1RuqHAryoYhFZUKT1CMu-R8QUpJ-k5ZWqRZ5C1Fp0BTqJB7uHifL_M-76Y2I5N0yU1RMo07Ddav7Bz/s1600/iPhone+371.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_Z5VCtkdKBOzA8Qxkx7xhBBriJ8vpf5HSOjl9UzDfxW1AjVX6msLBL2-P-wcDeb1RuqHAryoYhFZUKT1CMu-R8QUpJ-k5ZWqRZ5C1Fp0BTqJB7uHifL_M-76Y2I5N0yU1RMo07Ddav7Bz/s320/iPhone+371.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
On the plus side...look! I have next week's dinners already planned! And backup ideas, since Randy wanted me to get the fixin's for cheeseburgers at the grocery store. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhU0vZDt17xDoUyVAffox_XAK3AHt45Ni8XAX0Z4xXJBr0skhZc-wznrBIB0A-fGYkmsCYoQpZboleVSi-kHkmND6-cfspEpnlX_YGAD0UPgl102bdg3vpItUxjKhqWSgMPmgWrkggPMdJi/s1600/iPhone+379.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhU0vZDt17xDoUyVAffox_XAK3AHt45Ni8XAX0Z4xXJBr0skhZc-wznrBIB0A-fGYkmsCYoQpZboleVSi-kHkmND6-cfspEpnlX_YGAD0UPgl102bdg3vpItUxjKhqWSgMPmgWrkggPMdJi/s320/iPhone+379.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We went to a Thai restaurant for the first time Saturday night! Mainly because Miss Angela works there. She's a hostess, but our server gave her our table so she could serve us! Her manager was happy about that, since she's been wanting her to try out serving. Anyhoo, we got a sampler appetizer with chicken satay (OMG, I did not know there was a void in my life that was filled by Thai peanut sauce!!), seafood rangoons and spring rolls. Randy got the crispy chicken, since he's not adventurous at all and Angel has brought that home before for us to try. I got the drunken noodles with shrimp. It was all really good and I tracked it as well as I could. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
Look at Mooch Jack and Mooch Jr. Daisy. They know Randy is the marshmallow who feeds them at the table. This is after Jack almost licked the finish off that plate! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKkXrnWJSIGwSq8_Zu65AKyEg1MumspwaZMqZ1ZxsQOGCdsgQR3HjCxxzbgUauLOiKsdqleGx1ks1yT9vFc4oYzdjNoJGHUPgWxv9NLgIq4cCF6f8RyxfbC8CKND5SO-rVjXzRrDDoeblO/s1600/iPhone+377.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKkXrnWJSIGwSq8_Zu65AKyEg1MumspwaZMqZ1ZxsQOGCdsgQR3HjCxxzbgUauLOiKsdqleGx1ks1yT9vFc4oYzdjNoJGHUPgWxv9NLgIq4cCF6f8RyxfbC8CKND5SO-rVjXzRrDDoeblO/s320/iPhone+377.JPG" style="cursor: move;" width="320" /></a></div>
So that's all for tonight, I'll pop in tomorrow after weighing in to report. I'm going to get ready for bed. Randy didn't get home til 11:30 last night and of course I sat up waiting for him. Then he had a support call that really pissed him off at 3:30am (I mean yelling & slamming stuff around mad!) so yeah, I was up again. Then I slept thru the alarm (it goes off at 5:30 and Randy nudged me at 6:30!) and had to deal with bitter cold & snow on the way into work. I was only 6 minutes late, tho!<br />
<br />
Later!<br />

I skipped last week's weigh in because, yanno, Christmas. And New Year's. So the 3.8 lb gain this week really wasn't a surprise, except for the leader's comment that I was up a LITTLE. Really people. I know they really can't say stuff like "OMG - what the hell, woman???" But I know they're thinking it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So I'm doing pretty good on my dime challenge thingy. I consider this first week a baseline, to see what I need to work on. Which is a lot! But that's the whole purpose of this, so carrying on. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvLHr5rCi1Tcf-uynZewBUJxXsCWtvTiQre5faqYyNBGUXf18e9Zbwq2iB_EgIlI7JiKIuRbKVfxoVcY0pCl7j1Wtxi-nnywK_EhKvvl74_SBes3JuoLn9HyOxiPUWcY2PlFQCsZju3BTq/s1600/iPhone+081.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvLHr5rCi1Tcf-uynZewBUJxXsCWtvTiQre5faqYyNBGUXf18e9Zbwq2iB_EgIlI7JiKIuRbKVfxoVcY0pCl7j1Wtxi-nnywK_EhKvvl74_SBes3JuoLn9HyOxiPUWcY2PlFQCsZju3BTq/s320/iPhone+081.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I was actually journalling more than that, but I'd missed transferring it to the list on the next page, so missed a couple days. Ooops! </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Tuesday was pretty awesome that I actually earned my whole dollar! I was happy to note as I reached over to turn out the lights that night that it was 10:47! It really helps to set an alarm on my phone to go off at 10:15 to tell me to get ready for bed. Or else I'll just keep dinking around on the 'puter or whatever. </div>

Last night I was physically in bed at 11, but the kid had chosen to come in and chat for a while. She was telling us about work that morning and dance class. I couldn't really kick her out.</div>

I wish I could have my FitBit week start on Tuesday, also. It only gives me the option of Sunday or Monday. But I do get a progress report each week from them! I like that. And I thought it was just me, but I heard the owner of the company I work for comment that he had to exaggerate steps on the stairs for them to register on his FitBit. So I've been jogging up the stairs at work. And I'm up & down them 100 times a day (exaggerating slightly).</div>

The dog guilted me into going for a walk last night. I donated blood right after work, then came home for all of 30 minutes, before having to leave to meet Randy for dinner and then going to a meeting. During that 30 minutes, I changed into jeans and tennis shoes, while Jack watched me closely. He associates me putting tennis shoes on with going for a walk, so he was hopeful! Sorry buddy. It was almost 9 by the time I got from from the meeting and I let him out & fed him. After all that, he was still watching me with those darn hopeful puppy-dog eyes. So at 9:30 last night, in my pajama pants & winter boots, I took him for a walk. We just went around a couple blocks but it made him happy. <br />
<br />
The walk took me well over my target steps for the day quite nicely. Which is better / less annoying than me marching around the house, clumping in my slippers like I did the other night! I marched while cooking dinner and cleaning up afterward. Then marched into Angel's room to bother her, then back in to look over Randy's shoulder at his phone, etc. Heehee! But I got my steps in!<br />
<br />
I got a bunch of steps in tonight by finally taking down all the Christmas blowmolds (20!! But it sure doesn't look like it.) from the front yard and putting them away. It sure took a lot less time and effort than it does after Halloween! I took each one just behind the fence, one by one. Then I gathered up all the extension cords, and took each mold behind the garage to where their off-season abode is.<br />

I'm glad I decided to do this tonight instead of waiting til this weekend. It's supposed to be warmer, but rain & snow all weekend. Blargh.<br />
<br />
Oooh, my alarm will be going off soon, so I'm going to get a jump on things! Later!<br />
