D is for Dorothea Lange

Dorothea Lange
(1895 - 1965)

Ms. Lange was a photographer known for her photos during the Great Depression.  Her photos documented the working and living conditions of the workers for the investigations of the US Farm Security Administration.

In my opinion, this is the photo that first comes to mind when I head Ms. Lange's name....

    1. She was! I can only imagine living back then, when she took all these photos. She really saw life thru different eyes.

  4. I too have stopped over from A to Z. Glad I did. That's such a powerful photograph and I must admit I didn't know the name of the photographer. Thanks for that bit of important information.
