Friend Makin' Monday - Taboo Topics

Went to the gym on Friday and thought it would be a good idea to sign up for the Saturday morning Zumba class - not thinking about what day it already was. Let's just say I was a hurting unit! When I got to the gym Saturday, there were a few ladies sitting outside of the room, getting shoes on, etc. One of them was a very outspoken (approximately) 80 year old.  So I asked if they were there for Zumba and Little Miss Gung-ho Granny piped up, Yes! She was ready to go! I told them I hoped they were ready for a laugh, since I'd never done this before (I wasn't going to explain the one class I took at Miss Angela's dance studio) and Granny told me as long as I was moving, I was golden. Hmm, I bow to her wisdom! And then I proceeded to get my butt kicked! But it was fun & I will go back.

Saturday night we went to Ford Field and watched the Monster trucks.  We go every year & its a lot of fun.  One of Angel's friends was there, across the stadium from us, so they kept texting back & forth til they found each other (thanks to blinky lights on cell phones!)

Did you know that an ounce of cotton candy is 3 points?  And do you know exactly how much an ounce is??  Picture the size of 2 volleyballs - that's 1.5 oz.  That's a LOT of cotton candy!   Just an FYI.

Now onto FMM....

If you’ve taken part in FMM then you know the rules. If you’re new, please take a moment to answer this week’s question on your own blog then add your link in the comments section over at: www.alltheweigh.com so we can all see your FMM questions and answers. Please invite your blog readers to add their links here too so everyone has to opportunity to be seen. The idea is to connect with other awesome bloggers so take a moment to post your own FMM post and comment on a couple of other posts. Now it’s time for this week’s topic!

Taboo Topics - ooooooo scandalous!

1. Are you a registered voter? Yes.

2. Do you believe in GOD? Yes.

3. How has your readership changed since you first began blogging? It's increased modestly.  At first I was keeping my blog more as a journal, then it evolved into what you see now.  I was tweaked the first time I realized I had actual followers, then was self-conscious on what and how I wrote.

4. If you could choose between a serious relationship or $100,000, which would you choose? Well, I have the serious relationship with my hubby, so can I have the $100,000?

5. Have you ever changed political parties? Seeing as how I am totally against the big money parties (Republican / Democrat) anyway, I'd have to say no.  I can't even say which party I actually belong to, other than not one of those.

6. If you were put in a position in which you had to be in a room with someone that you can’t stand, how would you handle the situation?  (keeping Kenlie's answer) Hmm, I suppose I’d try to focus on the positive people and things around me to drown out the negativity.

7. Do you ever eat in secret because you don’t want anyone to see what you consume? I've done so in the past.  Not so much anymore.

8. Do you use curse words in your daily conversations? Hmm, yes.  Some.  I don't curse anywhere near as much as I used to.  I lived up to the "curse like a sailor" stereotype and I had to work hard to stop after Miss Angela was born.

9. How much do you tip when you’ve had decent service at a restaurant? We usually tip the standard 20%, but round it up to the nearest whole dollar.

10. How do you respond when someone confronts you? If they are calm and respectful, I will respond the same way.  But if they come at me with an attitude, you can bet they'll get it right back.

Now it’s your turn to answer this week’s questions. Don’t forget to come back and link up in the comments. Happy Monday!

  1. Came by from FMM. I'm with you on number 5, don't particularly love either option and think the current political system turns me off in a lot of ways. It's all so slimy. Unfortunately, I don't have any better ideas...

    1. Yeah, us little people are pretty much screwed. All I can do is continue to vote for the small parties and grit my teeth.

  2. A lot of people like Zumba. I have never done it.
I will try to remember to come back and do the Q and A.

    1. I'm sure it's pretty comical, if I wasn't trying so hard to get the step & arm motions right!
